Farrukh Shahzad, PhD

President and CEO

Dr. Shahzad has an illustrious career spanning over three decades in process and product design. He has been instrumental in the successful commercialization of numerous innovative technology ventures. Throughout his tenure, Dr. Shahzad has assumed critical roles in process control and monitoring systems, collaborating with leading US and global organizations. His commitment to Visonics Chemicals extends beyond administrative and managerial realms. A prolific thinker and innovator, Dr. Shahzad has made significant strides in the scientific community. His research and literary contributions have paved the way for advancements in Visualization and Simulation, Big Data Analytics, Data Sciences, and Business Intelligence. Moreover, he has been at the forefront of breakthroughs in Machine Learning and IoT/Wireless Sensor networks, establishing himself as a thought leader in the confluence of technology and business.

Raghu Narayan, PhD

COO and Executive Vice President

Dr. Narayan brings nearly fifty years of technical and management leadership in chemical engineering to his roles as COO and Executive Vice President of Visonics Chemicals. His tenure spans both industry and academia, with competencies in process and product development, capital project management, and strategic business and technology evolution. Dr. Narayan’s expertise encompasses petrochemical gas processing, refining process technologies like Syngas-based Technologies (Methanol, Ammonia), Olefins and Aromatics, Propylene Oxide and Derivatives, Oil and Gas Upgrading, and Hydroprocessing/Hydrocracking. He has also made notable contributions in chemical reaction engineering and Separations technology, including Absorption, Adsorption, and Membrane Separations. A pivotal achievement includes his involvement in the development of Prism® Separators, which pioneered polymeric membranes for industrial gas separation. Dr. Narayan’s industry experience includes stints at Monsanto Company, LyondellBasell Industries, and Saudi Aramco. Academically, he served as the Chairperson of Chemical Engineering at Texas Tech University.

Romolo Raciti

Chairman and Board Member

Mr. Raciti, Chairman and Board member at Visonics Chemicals, is a seasoned energy executive with over three decades of experience in steering and managing EPC operations for capital projects. Prior to his role at Chiyoda as the Senior VP overseeing U.S. operations, Romolo was instrumental in guiding Parsons’ re-entry into oil and gas projects. His leadership at Chiyoda was pivotal in establishing the firm’s U.S. operations, focusing on the execution of significant LNG and Petrochemical projects in the Americas. With a rich background in project execution, business development, and strategic growth across both U.S. corporations and international entities, Romolo combines strategic thinking with practical approaches to foster successful organizations. He holds a B.S. from Tennessee Tech, an MSc. in Mechanical Engineering from Virginia Tech, and has pursued Executive Education at Rice University.
